The Animals
The sanctuary keeps several exotic animals naturally bred in Australia and New Zealand.
The roster includes several species in the genus Macropus: the red kangaroo, the antilopine kangaroo, the eastern grey kangaroo, and the western grey kangaroo.
They also have wallabies who look similar to kangaroos but have a smaller stature and less powerful legs, and wallaroos, a mix of the two.
A full roster of animals like sugar gliders, capybaras, African grey parrots, and peacocks can all be visited at the petting zoo.
The Experience
The farm is open from 10-3 every day and encourages guests to visit early in the morning if they want to interact with the animals when they’re most alert and chipper for treats.
When entering the petting areas, guests will be given specific treats to be fed to the animals. You can get up close and personal with the animals to let them feed right out of your hand or pet and hold them if the animal allows you.

The Rules

The farm will set out specific rules for each animal exhibit, especially with the smaller animals like reptiles that need to be handled with care.
You will need to move slowly around the animals and keep small children in check if they start to grab any animals’ fur. It’s important to remember that kangaroos are still wild animals even when domesticated.
