Leave the yoga pants and flip flops at the hotel; Europeans have a whole different concept of what is acceptable as streetwear.
In the U.S. it’s totally acceptable to wear hoodies, sweats, and flip-flops when running errands or going out to eat; But in France, Italy, and Spain, it’s not okay to wear flip-flops unless you are going to the beach, and wearing hoodies is only acceptable for the gym.
Make sure to bring some casual street wear when going out in a European country so you don’t stand out like a cheap tourist.

In many countries in Europe, it’s considered disrespectful to change your order, ask for substitutions or to send food back because it is cooked for too long.
To illustrate, chefs in France put great passion into their work, and will take offense if you attempt to change their creations. It is better to just sit back and appreciate the food as it was meant to be.
